I am excited to apply for the Specialist, Event Management position at Canon U.S.A. As an experienced event and production manager with a strong foundation in live activations, branded experiences, and corporate events, I’m eager to contribute my skills—and my long-standing admiration for Canon’s place in the creative industry—to your team in Burbank.
Years ago—long before Canon’s current Burbank facility—I regularly attended monthly Canon events featuring filmmakers and photographers. Those talks left a lasting impression on me and fueled my enthusiasm for storytelling and visual media. Though photography remains a hobby, I still shoot with my Canon 5D, 7D, and EOS cameras. The opportunity to now help organize and deliver events that inspire others, as those early ones did for me, feels deeply meaningful. That said, I also understand this role is much broader than public programming—I’m equally energized by the day-to-day logistics, coordination, and planning required to support Canon’s larger strategic goals in the cinema and imaging space.
With over 19 years of experience, I’ve managed everything from on-site AV and vendor coordination to budget tracking, registration, post-event reporting, and customer gear handling. My background includes large-scale productions and live events for FILM45, musical tours and stadium activations for the Indianapolis Colts, and high-touch campaigns and corporate in-house events at Union Bank and Detour.com. I also bring experience in line producing, bookkeeping, and production accounting, which enhances my ability to manage contracts, invoicing, and budget reconciliation with precision.
