Dear Musiversal Team,
I was genuinely excited to come across the posting for your Community Manager & Events Organizer position. As someone deeply passionate about both music and building inclusive, creative communities, the opportunity felt like a perfect match—and I immediately began preparing my materials to apply.
Unfortunately, when I returned to submit my application, I saw the posting had already closed. Still, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share my resume and cover letter with you directly. I’d be thrilled to be considered should this role reopen or if similar opportunities become available within your team.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve produced immersive music and cultural events—from live podcast tapings to community festivals and branded activations—and managed creative projects across TV, film, and music. Notably, I also worked at Detour.com, a tech-forward startup where we developed an app aimed at empowering creators to record and share audio experiences and music. While Detour ultimately pivoted toward location-based audio storytelling, its original vision of a global creative platform stayed with me. The project never fully took flight, in part because we didn’t prioritize building community infrastructure early on—a lesson that makes me especially excited to contribute to a company like Musiversal, where that foundation is already thriving.
I’m a former drummer, a longtime event producer, and someone who’s just as comfortable booking talent as I am managing production logistics or shaping meaningful, audience-first programs. I'm based in Los Angeles and well-positioned to support on-the-ground event efforts while thriving in a flexible, remote-first team environment.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I deeply admire the work Musiversal is doing to revolutionize access and opportunity in the music industry, and I would love to be part of your mission in the future.
Warm regards,
Jeanette Marie Aguilar
