Dear Hiring Team,

Some of the most valuable lessons of my career have come from working across very different storytelling environments — from Bollywood productions with teams across Mumbai , London and the U.S. ,  to globally distributed Netflix documentaries, to immersive audience experiences built for international travelers through partnerships with brands like Nike and Airbnb.

What connects all of those experiences is my ability to help creative ideas scale across platforms, teams, cultures, and operational realities.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across documentaries, sports content, branded entertainment, film, TV, live productions, experiential campaigns, streaming projects, and emerging media platforms. My background has never followed a traditional studio-executive path, but that has given me a broad understanding of how content connects with audiences across different communities, cultures, and markets — and what it actually takes operationally to execute ambitious storytelling initiatives successfully.

At Detour.com, I oversaw production and finance operations for immersive storytelling experiences designed for international travelers and culturally diverse audiences. The work blended audience engagement, logistics, technology, local storytelling, and multi-market execution across projects connected to brands like Nike and Airbnb.

I’ve also supported globally distributed storytelling through three seasons of Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries, premium sports and documentary productions at FILM45, and multicultural and community-focused initiatives through PBS/KQED and Union Bank campaigns.

Throughout my career, I’ve often stepped into environments where the challenge was not just producing content, but helping align teams, workflows, logistics, budgets, partnerships, and creative priorities across complex productions and evolving business needs. I’ve built a reputation as someone who can bring structure, adaptability, and operational clarity to ambitious creative initiatives while keeping teams aligned and projects moving forward.

I’m especially drawn to this role because it sits at the intersection of global storytelling, operational leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration — areas that have consistently defined my career.

Thank you for your consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to speak further.

Best,
Jeanette Marie Aguilar
