OC SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT

Dear Hiring Committee,

I’m excited to apply for the Director, District Event Production role at OCVIBE. With over two decades of experience producing large-scale events, branded activations, and community-facing programs, I bring a strategic and creative approach to curating public experiences that drive both engagement and revenue. From NFL game day experiences and Nike activations to bilingual community festivals and recovery-focused outreach after the Eaton fires, my career has consistently focused on building events that connect people and elevate place.

I got my start producing community events and city-wide sports programming for the City of Rohnert Park in Sonoma County—work that taught me how to engage diverse neighborhoods and activate shared spaces with care and intention. After years of producing complex campaigns in the entertainment and brand world, I returned to those roots in 2025, lending operational support to local nonprofits in the wake of the Eaton fires. That experience reminded me that the best events don’t just entertain—they serve, uplift, and bring people together.

At FILM45, I led the production of sports-related experiential activations and branded content for clients like the NFL, managing budgets over $3M, overseeing cross-functional teams of 25+, and scaling event-day crews into the hundreds. At Detour.com and Super Top Secret, I produced sport-specific campaigns for Nike, LA Galaxy, and Adrenaline Lacrosse, always aligning creative with brand identity, audience, and business objectives. I’ve built district-wide event calendars, managed vendor ecosystems, and collaborated closely with creative, marketing, and finance teams to bring every element into focus.

While my recent titles have included Senior Production Manager and Event Operations Lead, I’ve functioned at a director level for years—strategizing, scaling, and delivering end-to-end programs across sectors. I’m simply looking for the right opportunity to formalize that next step in title.

I’m now looking to transition out of contract work and into a long-term leadership role where I can apply my full skill set toward building something visionary and lasting. OCVIBE’s mission to become a hub of creativity, hospitality, and discovery resonates deeply with me—and I’m eager to contribute to a team shaping meaningful, high-impact experiences across the district.

Thank you for considering my application. I’d welcome the chance to bring my strategic mindset, production leadership, and deep community spirit to your team.

Warmly,
Jeanette Marie Aguilar
