Hiring Manager
Taco Bell Corp.
Irvine, CA
Dear Hiring Team,
I’m writing to express my interest in the Brand Marketing Manager role at Taco Bell. With over a decade of experience leading integrated campaigns, content development, and product marketing strategies, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my roots in film and storytelling. That foundation has guided my approach to shaping brand voice, developing creative briefs, and building campaigns that resonate across platforms and audiences.
I began my career straight out of film school as a Marketing Coordinator at The Sharper Image, where I supported a year-long internal product launch—my first crash course in cross-functional execution and consumer-focused creative. Since then, I’ve consistently applied storytelling discipline to brand marketing work, from RTB-driven comms briefs to occasion-based campaign strategy.
I’ve worked on both sides of the equation: partnering with brands from inside agencies like FILM45/45Live, Link Technologies, Super Top Secret, and Theater Mama—and leading marketing initiatives in-house at Khloud Foods, Union Bank, Detour.com, and The Sharper Image. My in-house roles also required close collaboration with external agencies and production partners, giving me a comprehensive understanding of how to translate brand vision into real-world campaigns. Throughout my career, I’ve helped support brand storytelling and activation work for companies like Amazon, Google, Nike, P&G, Chevron, Smuckers, Petco, Safeway, LA Galaxy, Cirque du Soleil, Netflix, and Airbnb.
On a personal note—I genuinely love Taco Bell. I’ve followed the brand’s evolution over the years with admiration, from the Taco Bell Hotel activation I kick myself for missing in Palm Springs, to the Taco Bell Cantina discovery in San Jose (with its backyard and lawn games), to the bottled Taco Bell sauce that’s now a fixture on my grocery list. I even grew up near the Pacifica location—arguably the most beautiful Taco Bell on Earth—and still tell people about it, though they rarely believe me. If I had a Taco Bell inside my workplace, complete with Taco Tuesdays, I’m not sure I’d ever leave.
Thank you for considering my application. I’d welcome the opportunity to bring my perspective and energy to your team—and help shape what’s next for the brand.
Sincerely,
Jeanette Marie Aguilar
